STONEY LAKE – LE JOUR DE LA NUIT

KPCA is partnering with USLA in a new experience;

Stoney Lake – Le Jour de la Nuit.

Le Jour de la Nuit is a growing movement in Europe. Each year, many municipalities join in turning out their lights, which results in breath-taking night skies. The idea is to bring awareness to light pollution in our communities.

This event is a first for our lake, so organizers are keeping it simple. ALL cottager on Stoney and Clear Lakes are encouraged to turn out their lights for one night. The date for this event is Sunday August 6. This is a weekend when many families traditionally are together at the lake, and hopefully enjoying some amazing dark skies!
